Hi Michael, your interpretation is first-class and clear. I understand that the judiciary and the legislature are to be kept apart, but would it not be advantageous for governments to utilise their legal people to scrutinise every policy that passes through parliament before it actually passes into law? Common sense would dictate that this should be the way forward in future?
The default always seems to be the male norm and does not take into account the female. If every law passed took into account the test against existing law, statute and common, with regard as to how female people would be likely to be affected, surely a great deal of public money would be saved and adverse effects on females mitigated and even eliminated?
For example, the prisons situation: females in the male prison estate would be a troubling solution and open to severe harm being potentially the end result, while males, in the female prison estate, would not be directly harmed but, again, the females there could be under threat and potential harm. The end result in both situations could be physical and psychological harm to the females affected.
I have just placed an order for your book and am looking forward to reading it!
