Letter to Bridget Phillipson MP
Correcting Misinformation about Good Law Project v EHRC
This week over 30 lawyers and legal academics wrote to Bridget Phillipson MP, Minister for Women and Equalities, to warn against the misinformation being spread by the Good Law Project in the aftermath of its failed judicial review of the Equality And Human Rights Commission’s interim update. I was among the signatories. This has been reported in the Times and I include the full text of our letter below.

Thank you. It's a clear picture demonstrating just how we got here in the first place. Thank goodness we have collectives in place now to counter the lies with facts and figures.
Thanks for signing the GLP refutation letter. It needed said.
Lies abound in the gender wars, but the GLP letter to Phillipson had an unparalleled egregiousness about it.
I can’t work out what purpose the GLP letter served. As an attempt at persuasion, or even as a delaying tactic by muddying the waters further, it harms their own cause and credibility by being so easily disprovable.
The only thing might be that it’s too traumatic for them to acknowledge they’d lost, which rather suggests the authors have all the emotional resilience of a toddler.
