Great article Michael. Thanks for all your hard work during this tribunal. I’ve been glued to your daily updates on here over the last couple of weeks, as a non law-literate person your explanations about where an argument is going, and why a particular line of questioning is being followed are fascinating.
I second that. I watched the first round and the second round (sorry, I know it wasn't a boxing match but it did feel rather like one at times) remotely and I obviously missed some bits that have now been clarified by Michael's analysis.
If the tribunal was a boxing match, I suspect the backstage antics of counsel for the first & second defendants resembled a Marx brothers' comedy.
A great piece which has explained things I didn't pick up just looking at coverage elsewhere.
I'd be really interested to know, assuming SP wins, what possible remedy there could be? SP can surely not return to a workplace that has treated her in this way and must have a potential unfair (constructive) dismissal claim in addition to those she has already brought to the Tribunal. Is it possible there'll be a Season 2 to this drama?
Very good article that summarises concisely the key issues in the Peggie NHS Fife case and provides legal context for the two sides involved, well done
GMC say they are bound by Medical Act 1983 & Form and Content of Registers Regs 2015 from registering the sex of doctors, only their stated gender. They say if the law changes, they will adapt, but does the Supreme Court ruling not require them to do so now?
Another great article thank you Michael. The character assassination that SP was subjected to was quite disgraceful - thank goodness she has such an excellent legal team with NC/CE.
I wonder if JR really believes the rubbish she advocates for…

Looking forward to the next installment 😊

Excellent summary Michael.
Missing you on Twix

Ooft! I admire your ability to "put things mildly" & yet still exert all the force of of an industrial magnesium press.
Could you retrospective video commentary on the February sessions? I would pay double.
Me too
Brilliant, as ever. Very much look forward to hearing your further analysis.

Thanks Michael. Will you be uploading your final live from 31July?
Just love your work - thank you
Thankyou for great summarizing and I echo what Julia says . I’ve been absolutely glued to these
Thankyou so much for explaining it all
I particularly enjoyed the analysis of NC’s cross on Margaret Currer when they talked about life and death being binary .
Fascinating ! And NC cleaned her out with her icy logic ! Loved it !
Glad to hear from you Michael. Please come back! Perhaps some Twitter blocking is your friend.
Unrelated topic, but I wonder if I might ask:
